Our flagship products are The Rakestraw Spinner and the Andean Plying Paddle. You can see videos of each in use in "Videos" in the main menu to the left. In our Shop, each of the Rakestraw Spinner woods is shown as a separate product; each has an enlarged photo of the wood.

The Rakestraw Spinner is different! Unlike the regular drop spindle, the Spinner never drops, just twirls. You spin it like a party noisemaker, and it's even more fun!

The Spinner's companion product is the Plying Paddle, using Andean plying. The process is simple and comfortable, easy to use, and suitable not only with the Rakestraw Spinner, but with any spun singles from a drop spindle or a spinning wheel.

We are located down in the country in upstate New York. We make a huge lace blocking frame that fits into a box that will go under your bed. Other items appear from time to time, so just browse around.
